From hull to hard top, Haines Hunter boats are crafted for performance.
If you’re on the open water, you should be in a Haines Hunter.
It’s Australia’s most popular fiberglass brand for a reason.
Since John and Garry Haines built their first speedboat in 1959, its deep-vee hulls have been tested and refined to produce its signature design – a 21-degree deadrise, long strakes, and a heavy laminate.
That hull is the foundation for every Haines Hunter, one that rides smooth and cuts through in all conditions.
It’s complemented by a passionate. precision that elevates every part of the boat, from the safety matrix to the helm station.
Fishing, family, fun – whatever you do offshore, do it in a Haines Hunter.
Each Haines Hunter features a foam-filled structural safety matrix that strengthens the hull, reduces noise, and keeps every journey smooth.
Keep you and your passengers dry with a self-bailing deck that sheds water through one-way scuppers.
A signature 21-degree deadrise and full-length strakes balance stability with performance – at rest and on the open water.
Each layer of heavy-spec fiberglass is overlapped by hand, delivering soft rides even in rough seas.
John Haber is the current managing director and owner of Haines Hunter. His relationship with the company began in 1992 when he purchased his first HH vessel. He then bought the company in 2001 from OMC (Outboard Marine Corporation), which had purchased it in 1990.
Haines Hunter manufacturers its boats at its headquarters in Derrimut, a western Melbourne suburb. The 8,000-square-metre facility was built in 2007 and can deliver up to 1,000 boats each year.
Fiberglass is typically heavier than aluminium, which means it delivers a smoother, quieter ride, particularly in choppy offshore conditions. It’s more pleasant to use in hot weather, isn’t affected by electrolysis, and is cheaper than comparable-quality aluminium. It’s ideal for lifestyle boating and recreational fishing, especially if you like being out on the open water.
