‘Definitely 5 stars!
My partner and I had a really terrible experience at another business […] which we cancelled a boat purchased due to. […]
Thank you guys for really turning our experience around […]
We really appreciate how friendly you all were and how upfront you were during our experience.
We’ll definitely be recommending you to all our mates.’
Repowering a boat means replacing or rebuilding its motor. Because outboards are relatively inexpensive, it’s almost always cheaper to replace them than to rebuild them. Most owners choose to repower their boats to improve power, handling, acceleration, and fuel efficiency. (Newer engines also tend to be quieter and need less maintenance.)
Yes, we only install and service Mercury motors. If your boat has an existing non-Mercury motor, we’re more than happy to repower it with a compatible Mercury outboard.
To get better performance from your boat, you can either repower it (swap out the engine) or buy a whole new vessel. Generally, a repower is better value for money – it’s substantially cheaper and faster than a full upgrade. Unlike a car engine, your boat motor will also retain its value independently. (Some of our owners repower old hulls, buy new hulls a few years later, then fit those new hulls with the repowered motors.)
We’ll normally recommend a full upgrade if your hull is badly degraded or if you want a different kind of boat. The easiest way to calculate the best option is to either call us on 07 5593 7448 or visit our Arundel boatyard. Our in-house repowering specialist can run the numbers and see what makes the most sense for you and your vessel.
