Yes, we can. We can deliver your boat to any waterway on the Gold Coast. You’re also welcome to pick up the boat from our yard.
Lead times for new builds vary based on the time of year and the manufacturer. On average, you’ll need to wait 5 to 6 months after placing an order to receive a new McLay and 3 to 4 months for a Bluefin. Polycrafts and Horizons typically take one to 2 months.
The easiest way to get an accurate lead time for a specific vessel is to call us or visit our Arundel boatyard. We can talk to the manufacturer and even work with other suppliers to get you the vessel you want as quickly as possible.
‘Beam’ is a boat’s width at its widest point. A larger beam means more stability. A smaller beam means more manoeuvrability.
‘Hull weight’ or ‘dry weight’ is the weight of the boat without any passengers, cargo or fuel. Lighter boats are more fuel-efficient, faster, and easier to handle, but can be impacted more by chop.
‘Bottom sheet’ is the bottom of the hull. Most bottom sheet specifications refer to the thickness of the material. Thicker bottom sheets reduce noise, improve durability, and provide a more stable ride.
‘Horsepower’ is how much power a boat’s engine can output. Increasing a boat’s horsepower means faster acceleration and a higher top speed.
‘Draft’ is the distance from your boat’s keel to its waterline. A shallower draft means you can get closer to rocks and shorelines. A deeper draft improves stability.
‘Steering’ is the type of steering your boat has. Mechanical steering is ideal for low-horsepower boats, hydraulic for mid-power, and power-assisted for high-power.
