Tip 1 – Trim Correctly
Incorrect trim wastes fuel. Slight bow-up angle is ideal.
Tip 2 – Use the Right Prop
Wrong prop can waste 20–30% more fuel. Mercury Enertia, Spitfire X7, Black Max all perform differently.
Tip 3 – Cruise at the Sweet Spot
Most Mercury outboards are most efficient at 3500–4200 RPM.
Tip 4 – Keep Weight Low and Central
Balanced load = better efficiency.
